Periodically, I will teach children about new techniques and as we experiment with different mediums. We will work with basic art tools, unique textiles, found materials, and more. Breaks and unconventional activities will feed their body and mind. I will inspire them to reach beyond and create art that is unique to them. By doing so, we will all feel empowered to be creative and expressive in our personal lives.
Upcoming Events: Stay tuned for the 2022 Winter Camp details at “Who Gives A Scrap”.
Past events
2022 / ART CAMP
summer break
This week the students had a variety of projects: DIY slime, puppets, mystery box, and clay. However, I gave them the option to do anything they wanted for the last hour. Mixing random liquids and running around seemed to be their favorites.
2022 / ART CAMP
spring break
I had the opportunity to teach art for five days. Hanging out with eight kids under the age of 9 can be overwhelming. Adding glue and markers can make it magical. Seriously. I’m not sure who learned more.
2021 / ART CAMP
winter break
As the world reopens after Covid, it was a joy to have kids back in the classroom. We spent just as much time running around as creating.
2022 / ART SWAPS
kite making
Saturdays at the libraries offer simple projects for all ages. This month during the Art Swap we made kites. In the end, it didn’t matter if they flew.
2022 / PARTIES
birthday party
A Pokeman themed birthday is fun for all ages. From babies to grandparents, everyone was able to partake in the tables full of art projects.
